Contribute through ImpactAssets
Sea Forward Ocean Health Fund is administered through ImpactAssets, a leading nonprofit impact investing platform. Contributions are made to your ImpactAssets Donor-Advised Fund and designated for Sea Forward's ocean investment recommendations.
Capital is deployed
Sea Forward screens and recommends globally diversified ocean impact funds across six investment themes. ImpactAssets deploys capital into approved investments while Sea Forward monitors portfolio performance and conservation impact.
Returns regenerate
As investments generate returns, capital regenerates — cycling back into the fund to be redeployed, returned to donors' accounts, or granted to ocean nonprofits. Your contribution keeps working as part of a growing, self-renewing endowment for the ocean.
Sea Forward Ocean Health Fund is administered through ImpactAssets, a leading nonprofit impact investing platform with over $3 billion in assets under management — providing the Donor-Advised Fund infrastructure that makes collective ocean investing possible. Philanthropic flexibility. Investment discipline. Ocean impact at scale.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. Sea Forward Ocean Health Fund is a Donor-Advised Fund at ImpactAssets, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
What happens to my money after I contribute?
Your contribution enters the Sea Forward Donor-Advised Fund at ImpactAssets. Sea Forward recommends investments across a globally diversified portfolio of ocean impact funds. As returns are generated, capital is recycled back into the fund — creating a self-renewing endowment for ocean health.
I already have a DAF. Can I use it?
Absolutely. If you have an existing Donor-Advised Fund at any sponsoring organization, you can recommend a grant to ImpactAssets and designate it for Sea Forward. Contact us at hello@seaforwardfund.org and we'll walk you through it.
What is the minimum contribution?
Sea Forward is designed to be open at every level. The current entry point is $250 — meaningful on its own and powerful in combination with others in the fund.
How do I know my capital is having impact?
Sea Forward publishes regular impact reports and portfolio updates for contributors. Every investment is screened against rigorous ocean-health criteria, and we measure what changes in the ocean — not just in the portfolio.
Can I specify which themes I want my capital directed toward?
Sea Forward's investment committee manages portfolio allocation across six ocean themes: sustainable aquaculture, science-based monitoring tools, circular economy, biodiversity, climate, and regenerative nature-based solutions. For larger contributions, we're happy to discuss preferences. Reach out to start that conversation.
What types of contributions does Sea Forward accept?
Sea Forward welcomes a wide range of charitable contributions beyond CataCap investments and DAF transfers. Through our partnership with ImpactAssets, we can accept appreciated stock, foundation grants, legacy gifts, real estate, and other illiquid assets. If you're interested in supporting ocean impact through a different giving vehicle, we'd be happy to discuss the options available.
The Ocean Is Waiting
Together, we create the current. Join a growing community of donors, DAF holders, and foundations channeling collective capital into the ocean we all depend on.
